Following a year of uncomfortable conversations, challenging situations and vulnerable soul shares; I’ve realised that these moments were actually my favourite moments of the year.
Not because I’m a sucker for punishment…yes they did produce hectic ‘Vulnerability Hangovers’. You know what I’m talking about right – that feeling where you feel like you’re walking down the street naked, exposing just a little too much of yourself. Yep, there were a few of those.
But because the stunningly vulnerable moments, were actually the catalyst for overcoming limiting beliefs, unlocking irrational subconscious fears, and generally just feeling a little more like a super hero (or maybe just feeling more like a human…who um, feels).
Either way, it felt good. Real good!
Here’s some reflections on the year that was and what worked and didn’t work in both my personal and professional life:
That quote again, by Neil Gaiman:
“The moment that you feel, just possibly, you are walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind, and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself…That is the moment, you might be starting to get it right.”
Ugh! Don’t you just love that?!?!
Dive in on and let me know your thoughts on practicing vulnerability and also what you’re planning for the 2017 year ahead.
LET’S HANG LIVE NEXT WEDNESDAY :: LIVE CHAT ::
So I’m making a public commitment to connect live with you each week. (Feel free to hold me accountable, when I start to chicken out of this BTW!)
Each week, we’ll throw up two topics for you to choose from – whichever one gets the most votes is what we’ll talk about!
Comment below with your vote for next weeks topic:
VOTE 1: My goal setting protocol that’s helped me achieve everything I set my mind too in 2016 (and some of these were huge goals!)
VOTE 2: My mindfulness practice that I do in bed, for about 3mins each morning.
