If you follow me on Instagram, HERE, you’ll have seen all the epic pics I’ve been posting of my new abodes view, not to mention the ‘Fabulous Hat Dinner Parties’ (it’s a thing).
So today I thought, I’d take you inside my little piece of heaven and give you a taste of my home life.
Lets talk about the fabulous hats just for second. I’ve been a Fashions on the Field aficionado for years and years, taking home the grand prize a record 5 times including a Car one year! So fun!
After the car finale, I thought it was time to retire the contests, but could never retire the fabulous hats! So I’ve enlisted a strict dress code should you wish to come dine at mine, and that is…whilst seated at my table a fabulous hat should be worn.
Man, Woman or Child: if you’re dining, you’re adorned.
It’s been a whollllle lot of fun, especially seeing my Mum and Dad get into the spirit…check em out!
Now I don’t know if its just because its Winter, or if its because my place is fkn awesome, but I have become deeply introverted since moving in.
Like much more so than I previously was, often spending days at a time without speaking to another soul. #diviiiiiine
And since my new focus is on growing my online empire, you can check that out here, I very rarely feel the need to change out of gym clothes, (READ: pajamas).
Sure, some folks may view this as a major life fail, but as someone who’s been a devoted slave to fashion her whole life, for me, a day in PJ’s is a new and dearly welcomed kind of bliss.
So when Josh Goot, brought out his designer range of jimmy-jams for Sleepmaker, I thought, well “They count as designer threads, right!?”.
Now before you get too excited, the PJ’s are free with the purchase of a Sleepmaker mattress and the clever folk at Sleepmaker have developed a handy tool to help you select your perfect mattress!
Genius right. They call it the “comfort selector tool” and it asks you all sorts of personal Q’s around your sleeping habits, including how much time you spend in bed…..aah no Sleepmaker, I never work in bed, like ever, sleeping only. Yup.
So now rather than wearing all of my amazing, gorgeous, beautiful creations, I have them on show, since they are kind of art-y and definitely too fabulous to stow away.
I mean a colour-coded shoe wall? As if that’s not art-y. (Mum stop cringing).
Ha, no seriously, the shoes would be packed neatly away if they could, but alas the ‘drobe is full of just as many pairs of sparkly heels.
I could quite literally be the woman who lived in her shoes.
So a shoe wall it is. And designer gowns on display, this one from my friends at Belluccio.
.
In fact, all of my art and collectibles are remnants from lands afar, memories of time away.
There’s a saying that goes for Sagittarians that they’re ‘at home when they’re away’. Couldn’t be more true for me, and you can spy a few of my foreign affairs on display here.
And this, THIS, is where I do all my best thinking. Two of my favourite things in the world : being at home AND staring at the Ocean. Combined into one glorious aspect WITH the added bonus of being able to sip a glass of bubbles at the same time.
I mean seriously, does it get any better?
