Did you know the average person has between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts a day? 95% of which are repeated daily.
And of those a whopping 80% are negative thoughts.
Remembering the negative used to serve us well in the good ole’ days of being chased by sabre-toothed tigers (OK, ‘good’ might not be the right word for it…) but today they’re the anti-prescription for happiness.
If you had one negative thought once, it has no power over you. Repeat it again and again add in some emotional intensity and all of a sudden these thoughts are controlling you.
So instead of just being a one-time negative thought, they ended up being limiting beliefs.
A belief system is just a thought you’ve had often enough. These thought loops continue and continue and we think they’re unbreakable, but guess what?
You created the thoughts in the first place, and you have the power to break them!
